The Royal Academy of Antwerp has brought out some great designers like Dries Van Noten, Kris Van Assche and Martin Margiela. One designer who might not have made just a big a name for himself as these yet is Stephan Schneider.
Stephan Schneider has since graduating from the academy and starting his eponymous label in 1994 become famous for creating classic clothes with a simple yet cool silhouette and, like Margiela, the true craftmanship can often be found in the details. All his creations start by creating custom made fabrics and everything is manufactured in a special dedicated factory in Belgium.
This rain jacket called "Ellips" is a typical example of this attention to details with the diagonal cut, the funnel neck and the exquisite button detailing. It also has a detachable hood to protect you from the rain. The light sky blue color is a welcome alternative to the usual colors for outerwear (black, navy etc.) while still keeping the piece versatile. This is, without a doubt, one of the most clean and well-designed rain jackets out there. Perfection.
